Comments  From Teachers about EA Day Programs:

We met as a group and we came up with a list of great and wonderful adjectives but decided to compose a short paragraph to summarize the whole experience!
"The trip was well organized, age appropriate and it actively engaged all of our first graders!  The presenters were knowledgeable and the information presented was academically relevant to the state objectives.  We will DEFINITELY plan to return next year!"

In November, I took my 5th, 6th and 7th grade history classes to the Ebenezer Alive day program.  The students took three classes that day:  Orienteering, Math Magic, and Settler and Indians. I was very impressed with the preparation and content of all the classes.  The students loved the Math Magic class!  This class was encouraging, exciting, and out of the box challenging for the students and adults alike. Afterwards, the group was lead on a beautiful walk through the woods to a replicated Indian Council House.
Here the students were engaged with speakers who were dressed in period attire and were exposed to artifacts and pictures from colonial days.  After a break for lunch, the students geared up for an orienteering class that was the highlight of their day.  All of the students learned this skill which sparked their interest in geographical, mathematical, and scientific areas.  Once we were back at school, the students begged to go back to the Ebenezer ALIVE program to take more classes they offer.  The parents that chaperoned remarked that it was one of the best field trips they had ever attended.  As a teacher, I loved the program and appreciated the way so many subjects were integrated into each class.  I will definitely take my students again! What a joy this program was and will continue to be for us!

Our students really had a great time and enjoyed all the activities planned at Ebenezer Alive.  The staff was well prepared and shared a lot of knowledge about electricity and team building with our students.  We enjoyed all that was planned and look forward to coming again!
Thanks again for all that you did.  I will continue to tell others about how great the experience was for us and how much we enjoyed coming.  The students really loved the Slideshow that was provided.  Mrs. Dudley and I uploaded this to our website for students to access and share with their families.  I have gotten a lot of complements and praises from parents about this.

I am writing to let you know how much we enjoyed our field trip today.  We agree that this was one of the best field trips we have ever taken.  The children had a wonderful time and learned so much.  The classes taught by Mr. Webb and Mr. Clemmons were informative and interesting.  We were very impressed with how well the classes aligned with GPS.  Every moment of the day was well planned and executed with perfection!  We were apprehensive about the field trip because we weren't sure there was much too offer here in our own county.  We were wrong.  There is so much to offer right here in our own backyard.
Again thank you for a wonderful experience that we hope to enjoy again next year.

Our Blandford Elementary School first grade trip to your facility was great! Your staff was very kind and courteous. We enjoyed the exciting programs that provided hands-on experience for the children. The students enjoyed seeing themselves in the slide show you prepared and sent back with us of our experience at Ebenezer Alive.

Here is what our teachers had to say about the trip:

Kathy Allen: You had my entire class’s attention the entire time. It was great!

Karen Brooks: The live animals were the best.  It was like being at the zoo without the bars!

Theresa Cooper: My students enjoyed the hands-on activities! They also loved having their picture taken!

Nancy Davis: My students truly enjoyed learning about animals through hands-on activities! They loved the furs, stuffed animals, and all of the “live critters.”

Jennifer Kippert: My students really enjoyed themselves- they still talk about the field trip and enjoy looking at the picture CD often!

Howard Pittsley: The hands-on activities made the experience come to life for my students! Thank you.

Courtney Waters: My class loved the amphibians and reptiles!

We look forward to visiting Ebenezer Alive again in the future!
